SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana Police Officers Association and Santa Ana Police Department joined forces demonstrating their support for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, through the Pink Patch Project.

Santa Ana Police Service Dispatcher Grizelda Padilla coordinated the efforts to raise awareness and support for our community who fall on hard times due to their diagnosis and are in need of financial assistance. Individual Santa Ana Police Pink Patches were sold for $10.00 dollars each.

A $10,000 dollar check was presented to Jennifer Anderson, the executive director of Breast Cancer Solutions, from SAPOA President Gerry Serrano, SAPD Police Chief David Valentin, and PSD Grizelda Padilla.

These commemorative SAPD pink patches can still be purchased for the cost of $10 dollars. Orders can be purchased at https://breastcancersolutions.org/bcs/2017sapd/.  The pink patches are also available in the lobby of the Santa Ana Police Department.
